Na temporada de 2007/2008 os 26 árbitros da 1ª Categoria, receberam em média um valor anual de cerca de 17.500€, apenas em prémios de jogo. In the 2007/2008 season to 26 referees from the 1st category, received on average an annual value of around € 17,500, only in the game prizes. A este valor são acrescidos os subsídios de perda salarial (dia de trabalho), de refeição de treino ea quantidade de Km referentes às deslocações em dias de jogo. Os árbitros têm também direito a alojamento e refeições nos dia de jogo, transporte com motorista da porta de casa à porta do estádio (o qual devem prescindir para receberem os Km de deslocação), preparador físico, ginásios e equipamentos. A LPFP tem um orçamento anual para a arbitragem de cerca de 3 milhões de Euros, nos quais estão também incluídas as ajudas de custo dos 93 observadores de árbitros das primeiras e segundas categorias.
