Adidas, Nike and Puma are the brands / best-known companies in the five largest markets for football in Europe ((England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France). This is the result of the report "Marks of European Football Top20 2009/10" conducted by SPORT + MARKT, through a 3013 survey of football supporters of their countries, aged between 16 and 69 years.

The visibility of each brand is directly influenced by marketing strategies and advertising company that holds, and football has been a fantastic springboard for many of them. If we consider a normal presence in the ranking of sports brands, others are only present due to marketing and advertising agreements outstanding, as is the case of Audi, Ford, Bwin, Emirates, Carlsberg and Heineken, which in recent years have done a strong investment in advertising in major football events and major European clubs.
