Manchester City have conducted several studies over the past 14 months in order to enhance its current level of 47,726 seats to 60,000 seats. This intent envisages a considerable increase in gate receipts of the club, bringing the stadium capacity of the City of the two largest stadiums in Premier League , the Manchester United with 75,000 seats and Arsenal with 60,000 posts.

The club which is the owner Sheikh Mansour and according to the latest report from Deloitte Football Money League 2010 ', held in the 2008/2009 season and about 24.4 million in box office receipts, minus 9.7 million Euros that Newcastle United, despite having made seven more home games and almost half of what took place Tottenham Hotspur (46.3 million), despite having a higher average attendances of nearly 7000 spectators.

According to British press Manchester City signed a contract worth 1,000 million Euros, which allows you to build on land around the current stadium. In the redevelopment of the City of Manchester Stadium and its surrounding area is planned to build a training center, like the luxurious "Milanello" AC Milan, a shopping center-style fan zone, a super casino, a hotel , restaurants and other facilities.

Although the City of Manchester stadium is recent (built in 2002) the need to increase revenue is certainly part of the project of Sheikh Mansour to make the club one of the largest in Europe , not only on results, by buying the best players, but also in terms of supporting infrastructure capable of offering comfort and entertainment to supporters, as well as generate revenue.

Mr. Ricardo Almeida you really think these super-millionaires like this Roman Abramovich or Sheikh Mansour bought only clubs in order to "break out" money? Why do they only invest in English clubs and not for example in Portuguese clubs?! Think about it ;)
