There are naturally some confusion in most of the fans, when the topic is about the value of the economic rights of a football player, this confusion stems from the implementation of termination clauses in contracts of the players. The termination clauses serve as a financial safeguard for the club owner of economic rights of the player and not as a reference of your financial worth.

The existence of a cancellation clause , the club requires the buyer to negotiate the purchase price of the player and in the latter case, the absence of agreement, the club requires the buyer to pay the price stipulated in the relevant clause of termination. In our opinion, we believe that the economic value of a player is one who is paid by a club when they are purchased, which may depend on 75% of the sporty performance of the player and 25% of the capacity to negotiate their business and officers of the club holding their rights.

Here are some of the biggest players out clauses of the act in the Portuguese League. Quotation marks are the player's nationality and the year of termination of his contract.

Benfica and Sporting Siamese but far from portistas

The other big national football had operating income nearly equal, but below those recorded for FC Porto. Benfica, as presented in the report and accounts 2008/09, received 46.88 million euros of revenues, which were larger slices from advertising and sponsorships (11.5 million) and revenue television (10 million). In Chelsea, the income was almost the same: 46.82. The plot was the same on television. Lions have raised, yet, another ten million for participation in European competitions and more also with the gate receipts and posts annual. In favor of the red is the value of the contribution: 8.2 million received Benfica and Sporting 4.4.

Still, overall, both Benfica and Sporting have reached 19.3 million euros less than the FC Porto.
